A Level Academy growing with success

Once again topped last year's A Level results with 96% of students passing their exams

Oaklands College students have once again topped last year’s A Level results with 96% of students passing their exams, an increase of 3 percentage points from 2009.

Furthermore, Chemistry, English Language, Film Studies, Photography, Graphic Design, Human Biology and Physics achieved 100% pass rates.

Mark Dawe, Principal and Chief Executive, Oaklands College, commented: “I want to congratulate the students for all of their hard work and dedication and I hope that their results will help them to go on and success in the future.

“Our A Level Academy is going from strength to strength, with a greater number of learners choosing to do their A Levels with us and more subjects on offer than ever before. We hope this will continue so we can offer learners the opportunity for successful study in an independent learning environment.

Julie Johnson, Welfare, Information and Guidance Manager at Oaklands College added: “For those students who want help in making a decision about the next step in their learning, Oaklands College is running a variety of session and events to help. Students can also contact our Advice Team who will be happy to help.”
