65+ Project

We have a selection of short FREE courses for those 65 and over (a £10 registration fee applies). Courses are subsidised by Hertfordshire Adult & Family Learning Service, helping us bring these learning opportunities to you at no teaching cost. The £10 fee covers registration/administration fees

Gain or improve your smartphone or tablet skills, take your first steps to write your own memoir or discover mindfulness. The only requirement for joining the course is that you have a basic level of maths and English. Please note that due to funding restrictions you can only book onto one course.

Digital Skills - Internet and Staying Safe Online

Did you know that cyber-crime is the fastest growing crime type in the world also that the  majority of these types of crime can also be prevented by adopting basic cyber security measures?

This course will cover improving your mouse and keyboard skills; accessing secure websites and understanding what makes them secure; navigating shopping sites e.g. Amazon, eBay, food stores for delivery/ click and collect, ordering tickets for the theatre, trains etc; how to create a secure password; staying safe on line – junk email/ phishing emails and clearing history, cache, favourites and more ….
