Cookery Courses for Adults

Adult Short Courses in Hertfordshire

Are you inspired by Master Chef or the Great British Bake-off? Our tempting range of courses will set you on the path to culinary success.

We offer computing courses for beginners and Excel or Word courses to improve your confidence at work. If you'd like to know more about social media or eBay, we also have courses covering those subjects.

Please note you need to be aged 19 or over in order to enroll on our community learning courses. Our courses also need sufficient numbers in order to run but we'll contact you in case of a cancellation.

Traditional Thai Cooking: Starts Sep, Wed, 19:00-21:00

Over the four weeks you will learn to cook eight seasonal and authentic Thai dishes. These will include pad Thai (stir-fried noodles), green and massaman curry, fried rice, fish cakes, satay chicken, papaya salad and a banana in coconut milk pudding. The ingredients required are not included in the fee. Before the first lesson a list will be sent of ingredients/ equipment you will need to bring.

Free-From Cooking: Starts Oct, Tue, 19:00-21:00

Each week you will prepare 2 dishes, a main and a savoury/ sweet treat. A list of ingredients to purchase is emailed/posted one week prior to the start of the first lesson.

Japanese Cooking: Starts Nov, Wed, 19:00-21:00

NEW! Learn to cook authentic Japanese dishes, these will include katsu curry and sushi. Each week you will prepare a main and a side/ sweet dish to take home to enjoy and replicate again and again. NEW! Experience Thai for Vegans, this course will adapt traditional Thai dishes with alternative flavoursome ingredients, allowing you to develop your range of cuisine.
