Apprentices tackle Three Peaks Challenge for charity

For the first time Oaklands College apprenticeship students, in conjunction with their employers from Eurostar and Greater Anglia, will be taking part in the National Three Peaks Challenge on Wednesday June 12th 2013.  
 
The event, co-ordinated by Oaklands College’s Apprenticeship Team, involves walking the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – in 24 hours. 

Mark Collins, Business Development Co-ordinator, commented: “This is a fantastic team building challenge and is set to raise a large amount of money for charity. It is also going to be a very competitive, fun, yet exhausting event for the apprentices and their employers.”
 
Greater Anglia has four apprentice walkers: Anthony Roberts, Robbie Stephens, Thomas Lupton and Harry Navin and one employer Alistair Lane.

Eurostar has six apprentices walkers Paul Clarke, Courtney Broni, Alex Brown, Calvin Stewart, Pensuree Wallis, Callum McMenamin and two employers Gareth Evans and Chris Thompson 

Oaklands College Apprenticeship Team has one walker: Mark Collins whose chosen charity is the Riding for the Disabled Association.
