AS Government and Politics Parliament Project

Every year as part of the unit on the Houses of Parliament, AS Government and Politics students are asked to create a 3D representation of the House of Lords, the House of Commons or both.

Every year as part of the unit on the Houses of Parliament, AS Government and Politics students are asked to create a 3D representation of the House of Lords, the House of Commons or both.

The project gives students an opportunity to employ their creative talents, as well as offer a different style of learning to help them engage with the subject.

Once their design is finished, students must present it to the class, discuss the key building features and evaluate their project skills. Their peers then assess the work and feed back anonymously.

Hans Svennevig, class tutor, commented: “Every year I have been astounded by their creativity and this year more so than ever. Congratulations to my students for their exemplary effort!”.
