Beauty Students secure two prestigious Beauty Awards
Five Oaklands Beauty Therapy learners competed in the Prestigious UK Nail Tech Student Challenge Competition at Beauty UK, the national Beauty show at the NEC in Birmingham on 26th April.
We are pleased to announce Nicki Gann and Samantha Sculley, both studying NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy came 2nd and 3rd respectively. Also competing were Mel Austin, Kayleigh Morris and Hayley Moate. Andrea Brennan also represented Oaklands in the VTCT UK Skills in Advanced Nails.
Sammy and Nicki received trophies and will feature in all the national beauty magazines.
Jemma Haggerty, Pathway Leader Beauty Therapy said of the day: “ I would like to take this opportunity to say how proud we are of all our Level 3 Beauty Students and offer special congratulations to Nicki and Samantha who show natural ability with pure desire to succeed.”
Oaklands offers a wide range of subjects from make-up to massage in our state-of-the-art facilities. Oasis at Oaklands beauty salon situated at our Welwyn Garden City campus is open to the public and provides a full range of value treatments performed by our students under the supervision of our beauty lecturers.
