Beauty students visit flagship MAC store

LONDON — Level 2 Media Makeup students at Oaklands College travelled to London this week, for an educational trip to MAC Makeup’s flagship Carnaby Street store in Westminster, London. 

Students were given the opportunity to learn from a variety of live demonstrations from industry experts who had experience creating a variety of creative looks for London Fashion Week.

Students learnt how to create an Avant-Garde inspired catwalk look, which they could practise when returning to college and were given the opportunity to ask a number of questions regarding the makeup industry.

The experience offered students the opportunity to develop their skills and expand their repertoire of bespoke techniques and styles, which they could practise in an upcoming project related to their individual learning outcomes.

Finally, in addition to receiving skills training on the MAC makeup kits available at Oaklands College, students were treated to a 35% discount in store if they wished to build on their current selection of makeup kits.
