Complementary therapy students visit Lister Hospital patients

Students at Oaklands College studying the Level 3 Complementary Therapy course were welcomed to Lister Hospital in Stevenage this week, to deliver a number of treatments to staff and patients.

STEVENAGE — Students at Oaklands College studying the Level 3 Complementary Therapy course were welcomed to Lister Hospital in Stevenage, Hertfordshire this week. 

Students delivered a variety of complementary professional treatments for all NHS staff members and visitors.

The first of a number of planned visits for Level 3 students, they were given the opportunity to showcase their skills and develop experience working with the public.

Students performed complementary hand, neck and shoulder massages, which were very well received.

As a result of the successful trip to Lister Hospital, an additional practical trip has been arranged for Level 1 Complementary Therapy students visit the hospital on Thursday.

Level 1 students will also provide face painting for all staff and children on the Children’s Ward in a future visit.
