GCSEs

Having a good level of English and maths is essential to help you take on the world and reach your career goals. Most businesses, higher education institutions and apprenticeship providers expect you to have achieved 4 points or more in GCSEs in English and Maths. At Oaklands we can help you achieve this.

If you are aged 19 or over, you can study GCSE Maths and English at either campus. The courses are also free if you haven't achieved 4 points or more yet in these subjects.

We will give you an online assessment and interview to help decide which course is right for you. If you’re not at GCSE level yet you can study Functional Skills, which are nationally recognised qualifications and can be a stepping stone to GCSEs.

Please note that to study GCSEs on their own at Oaklands College you must be aged 19 or over. If you are between 16 and 18 years old you must be on a full-time study programme to study GCSEs with us.
