Caroline Turner -  Head of A Levels, GCSEs, Professional Studies and Teacher Training
I have worked at the College for the past 12 years; I joined as a  lecturer in English.
Since then, I have had various managerial jobs . I enjoy being Head of A Levels, GCSEs, Professional Studies and Teacher training. I work with a great team who always put the student’s needs first helping them on their educational journey to success.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

If you are aged 19 or over, you can study GCSE Maths and English at either campus. The courses are also free if you haven't achieved 4 points or more yet in these subjects.

We will give you an online assessment and interview to help decide which course is right for you. If you’re not at GCSE level yet you can study Functional Skills, which are nationally recognised qualifications and can be a stepping stone to GCSEs.

Please note that to study GCSEs on their own at Oaklands College you must be aged 19 or over. If you are between 16 and 18 years old you must be on a full-time study programme to study GCSEs with us.
