Am I right for the course?

If you have an interest in what is happening in the world around you and you like to keep up with current affairs, then you are right for this course. You also need to be good at essay writing and be prepared to engage in class discussion.

A minimum of 6 GCSEs grade 5 or above which must include English & maths and a grade 6 in subjects specifically being studied. Sociology students are also asked to keep their understanding of sociological issues up to date by reading newspapers and researching wider topics.

All our A levels are taught by subject specialists.

What Next?

Most of our A level students go on to university. Sociology is a particularly useful subject to have for careers in social work, market research, counselling, HR, teaching, youth work and management.

A Levels can lead you onto many different career paths, including university to further develop your skills in your chosen subject(s).

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.

For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.

Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.

All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
