Overview

A follow on course from beginners where you will continue to develop skills in creating stories. You will focus on writing a beginning, middle and end, blogging, writing query letters and entering competitions. Advice on approaching a publisher/ self publishing.

Course Content - What will I learn?

Building on the basics: through written exercises and discussion of learners work we will reinforce and extend our knowledge of the ‘rules of writing’. Making non-fiction creative: Non-fiction is usually easier to sell. But many writers feel that it is not ‘creative’. We will see how this objection can be removed, by applying the ‘rules’ of fiction factual writing.

Am I right for the course?

This course is for all learners 19 years old or over and have completed Creative Writing for Beginners or those who have had previous experience in using the required elements when constructing a story.

Fees

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.

For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.

Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.

All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
