Introduction to Advanced Excel: Tue 4 June,19:00-21:15



This short course will focus on understanding and applying advanced features within Microsoft Excel 2016. This will include creating Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts, Lookup Formulas (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP), creating templates, working with absolute and relative references within formulas, using conditional formatting and linking Excel data to other applications such as Word and PowerPoint. During the course you will learn how to record a simple Macro to create automation within a spreadsheet.

To join and benefit from this course you need to be proficient in using this application. Ideally you will have completed the Excel – Digital Skills for Work or be currently working at an intermediate level. Contact ACL 01727 737154 if you require assistance.


Am I right for the course?

This course is for all learners 19 years old and over, who want to develop their Excel skills beyond the essential functions.

This course is aimed at learners who have completed the Excel – Digital Skills for Work or who are currently working at an intermediate level. This course is not suitable for a complete beginner.

Through exercises, questioning, group/individual feedback and observation.

Course material will be provided by the tutor. Students will need to bring a Pen and USB Flash Drive.

An experienced and sympathetic tutor.
