Overview

Covered in the three course parts (A,B & C) you will compare and use a variety of more complex grammatical structures e.g. imperfect and present tenses; subordinate clauses; relative pronouns; demonstrative pronouns; comparative and superlative forms; the subjunctive; use of the infinitive at sentence start; imperatives; conditionals, identify and report opinions, understand a range of reading material containing complex sentences, understand and respond to a range of listening material containing more unfamiliar topics and language.Topics will include, the arts, daily life, sports and pastimes and travel.

There is one course split into thee parts (A, B and C) and will follow a post GCSE syllabus.

Am I right for the course?

If you are thinking of continuing to develop your communication skills to a higher level, this is the course for you. It helps if you are enthusiastic about the language and are willing to work with other students. If you don’t mind making mistakes, that helps too.

This course are for learners who are 19 years old and over and is designed for those who have studied between 160-170 hours of a formal programme and/or lived in a French speaking county for some time . The course is split into three parts, part A is 10 weeks. If you would like some advice on whether this is the course for you, please call 01727 737154.

You will be informally assessed at the start, middle and end of the course.

You will be taught by an experienced MFL tutor.

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.

For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.

Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.

All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
