Sculpture in Clay: Tues 28 Nov & 5 Dec, 10:00-15:00
New for 23/24! Sculpt your own piece of artwork using a variety of hand building techniques. Design and build your own sculpture using your own drawings, photos, other artists work and your imagination to create your own individual masterpiece. You will be guided on how to implement techniques such as slab building, coiling, and carving. You will have a choice of different clays to work with to best suit your work and you will have the opportunity to colour your work pre-firing (please note you will not be able to use glazes during this course, options will be given to you at the end of the course).
Am I right for the course?
Learners need to be a minimum of 19 years old and have an interest is using clay in creating sculptures.
This 10 hours course is suitable for students with some experience of working with clay. If you need any advice please contact email@example.com
The learners progress and achievement will be observed on an individual basis, with support and encouragement as required.
The course fee includes a material charge to cover the cost of clay, glazing and firing, up to a maximum weight of 1.5kg. If 1.5kg is exceeded then additional costs will apply.
Materials to be provided by the student: An apron, sketch book/notebook. Students will be advised on any further items they may require for individual projects.
A skilled teacher
You may wish to refresh or build on your skills with continuing by joining Pottery (Improvers/ Experienced).
16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.
For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.
Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.
All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
