Resilience: Building Skills to Thrive (Borehamwood): Starts Fri 20 May, 11:00-13:00 (Step2Skills)
In a time when people are facing difficulties this course will provide tips on how to become resilient over 5 weeks. During the lessons we will cover the following: resilience overview – we will be exploring different definitions and why it is important. Building resilient skills – being equipped with personal strategies to try at work and at home. Identifying personal strengths and values how you will build on these for resiliency. Improve your ongoing resilience by building self care practises and creating your own personal resilience action plan. This course will take place at our Borehamwood Site. Students will be expected to complete course paperwork and reflect on their learning experience. Am I right for the course?
This course is designed for those with no prior experience.
Students need to be 19 years old and over to join and be a Hertfordshire resident. No previous experience is required.
During the course, further supportive resources such as books, articles, CDs and websites will be discussed and highlighted.
You can take another Community Learning course, or find out about other adult courses at the College. We also host a number of self-organised groups such as Portuguese, Spanish and French. For further information please contact the Community Learning Team on 01727 737154.
