Christmas/Eid Celebration Sweet: Tue 29 Nov, 18:00-21:00
For one evening only indulge in these sweet dishes. Ma’amoul are small buttery semolina pastry from countries like Lebanon, Palestine and other countries in the Levantine region, filled with almonds, pistachios, walnuts or dates. Ma’amouls are eaten all year round but especially at Easter, during Ramadan and Purim. They are made by hand or using special wooden moulds to create different shapes – round like a ball, crescent form, shaped as a dome or flattened as a disc.
Ingredients are not included in the fee, before the lesson a list will be sent of the ingredients/ equipment you will need to bring.
Am I right for the course?
You will need to have an interest in cooking and be able to work safely in a professional kitchen environment
You will be 19 years old. Otherwise, there are no entry requirements.
You will be informally assessed throughout the lesson. You will also be encouraged to sympathetically assess each others’ dishes
Materials to be provided by the learners: Notebook and pen, apron and tea towel. Approximately 1 week before the course is due to start learners will receive a list of ingredients to purchase for the first lesson.
You will be taught by an experienced tutor.

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.
For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.
Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.
All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
