BLOOM! – Experimental Mixed Media Painting & Drawing: Starts Wed 20 April, 15:30-17:30

Overview

Work in an entirely expressive and intuitive way and free up the way you paint and draw. The course is suitable for both beginners as well as those with some experience of drawing and/or painting. During the course, you will explore the wonderful colours and organic structures of flowers and plants in a loose and abstract way. Students are very welcome to bring in their own flowers, leaves and twigs for added inspiration.

Course Content - What will I learn?

You will learn to use a range of media including charcoal, inks, graphite sticks, acrylic paints as well as pastel and oil crayons. All techniques will be demonstrated such as wax resist, drawing with sticks and collaging. We will work through a series of exercises to explore the colour, line and form of plants in an abstract, experimental manner.

Am I right for the course?

This course is for all learners 19 years old or over and is for all levels.

There are no entry requirements, just a passion for Art in different forms.

Fees

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.

For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.

Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.

All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
