Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Electrical Installation (8202-30)

Overview

The Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Electrical Installation is a full-time course designed for entrants who already hold a Level 2 or equivalent. This qualification will provide you with the skills and experience you need to progress into the industry. This Level 3 Diploma will suit you if you want to learn the technical knowledge of electrotechnical principles and practice to help start off your career in the electrical sector.

Employer and industry involvement is a key element of this qualification. This will enrich the learning experience and give every learner an awareness of the expectations of prospective employers within the electrical industry. These activities and tasks range from industry-set assignments, to demonstrations and work experience.

Course Content - What will I learn?

You will study the following units:

• Planning and overseeing electrical work activities,
• Principles of electrical science,
• Electrical design and installation practices and procedures,
• Principles of inspection, testing and commissioning electrical systems,
• Inspecting, testing and commissioning electrical systems,
• Electrical system fault diagnosis and rectification,
• Requirements for electrical installations

What Next?

You could progress into employment in the Electrical Industry or go onto further training to work independently as an electrician.

During any of our Electrical courses you will be expected to seek employment in the industry enabling you to gain invaluable hands-on experience.

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.

For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.

Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.

All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
