Overview
The Level 3 Diploma is aimed at those interested in a career in the plumbing industry focusing on the design side of the different systems. The qualification follows from Level 2 course, aiming to give you advanced plumbing knowledge and skills which you can apply in the workplace. Develop your knowledge and skills through practical and theory sessions focused around plumbing installation, drainage, central heating systems and more.
Course Content - What will I learn?
Health and safety in building services engineering, Understand the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems, Plumbing system installation planning, Complex cold water systems, Domestic hot water, Sanitation and drainage systems, Central heating systems, Domestic gas principles, Career awareness in building services engineering.
Am I right for the course?
This course is designed for candidates who have already completed their Level 2 Diploma and wish to expand their knowledge in the building services engineering sector. It is important to note that this qualification does not confer full plumbing or heating engineering credentials. Instead, it enables candidates to acquire, develop, and apply the necessary skills for employment or career advancement within the plumbing and heating industry.
You should already hold the Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies or equivalent in order to complete the qualification satisfactorily. If you do not have formal qualifications you must demonstrate adequate prior knowledge and experience to ensure you have the potential to gain the qualification.
You will be assessed by a range of methods which include on line exams, written design assignments, independent summative assignments, practical tasks and short answer question papers.
The plumbing department staff comprises industry professionals with extensive skill sets and will be qualified and experienced gas & plumbing engineers.
What Next?
It allows candidates to progress into employment, or to the following City & Guilds qualifications, through the apprenticeship route.
During any of our Plumbing and Gas courses you will be expected to seek employment in the industry enabling you to gain invaluable hands-on experience.

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.
For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.
Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.
All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
