L2 Diabetes Awareness

Overview

Did you know that over 5 million people in the UK will have diabetes by 2025?

This course is aimed at anyone who requires a course in diabetes awareness in any workplace or family setting.

Course Content - What will I learn?

This single unit qualification is designed to introduce the learner to the signs, symptoms and factors that may cause diabetes. It also considers the impact of diabetes on different illnesses such as depression, dementia and pregnancy.

Am I right for the course?

It is suitable for anyone who wishes to find out more about diabetes.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, you should be aged 19 or over.

It will be assessed by your Tutor using a range of methods. This could include, a portfolio of evidence, written assignment or a task.

The Health and Social Care Team are made up of Lecturers with both academic and vocational backgrounds in Health and Social care and related disciplines. The expertise within the team include: Nursing, Care, Management, Social Policy, Early Years, Counselling and Psychology.

What Next?

This qualification is designed to enable progression into further learning at the same level (e.g. from an award to a certificate in Health and Care) or to further learning at a higher level.

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.

For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.

Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.

All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
