Level 1 Diploma Brickwork
Overview
This course consists of practical & theory and associated with bricklaying. You will learn how to handle and store materials, work efficiently in a team, lay bricks and blocks, mix mortar and work place Health & Safety.
The course also gives out the skills to carry out basic technical drawing, basic maintenance of tools & equipment, of basic structural repairs relating to brickwork.
You will study English and Maths at a level appropriate for you as part of this study programme.
Am I right for the course?
This course will help you get work in the construction / landscaping industry as an apprentice or improver bricklayer.
A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 3 – 1 or successful completion of an Entry Level programme.
To gain the Introductory Diploma in Vocational studies Level 1 Diploma Brickwork students must undertake a range of assessments. Students will achieve the course my completing written assignments & completing practical assessments.
We have a fully qualified staff all with previous site experience.
What Next?
On successsful completion you could progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Brickwork or move onto a Level 2 Apprenticeship.
Trowel trades can lead you onto many different career paths, including higher level courses to further develop your skills in your chosen subject(s).

Fees
16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.
For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.
Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.
All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
