Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Multi-Trade Construction


This full time programme is an ideal introduction to the construction industry and covers basic skills in the construction trades.

Course Content - What will I learn?

You will learn how to complete basic brickwork along with basic carpentry & joinery, plastering, rendering, painting and decorating. You may also have the opportunity to undertake basic electrics such as wiring a plug and pendant lights and basic plumbing tasks.
The course will also assess your organisational skills & help support your IT skills.

You will also study English and Maths as part of your programme at a level appropriate for you.

Am I right for the course?

If you don’t know what construction trade to follow then this course is for you.

GCSE Grade 2 / Grade E or above in Maths and English.

To gain the Level 1 Introductory in Vocational Studies multi-trade programme you will be assessed by completing on-line theory assignments & successful completion of practical tasks.

You will also study English and Maths as part of your programme at a level appropriate for you.

You will be taught by trade specific tutors who will guide you through relevent trade areas

What Next?

On completion of multi trades you will have the opportunity to apply for a trade specific course in your chosen trade area

Trowel trades can lead you onto many different career paths, including higher level courses to further develop your skills in your chosen subject(s).

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.

For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.

Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.

All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
