L1 Award in Business and Retail with Digital Marketing Skills – March

Overview

This 6 week part time course is aimed at adults age 24+ without traditional qualifications who are not currently in employment and who are looking to develop employment skills, build confidence and either enter the workplace or go onto further education or training.  The course introduces you to the knowledge and skills relevant to business, retail and digital marketing. It will help you develop transferable digital skills that are essential to the current workplace.

 

 

 

 

 

Course Content - What will I learn?

The qualification is made up of two units which help  develop a range of skills including:

Unit One:  Working in Business and Retail

  • Know about job opportunities in business and retail
  • Know about working practices within business and retail
  • Know about the qualifications and skills needed for jobs in business and retail
  • Be able to plan the early stages of a career in business and retail

Unit Two: Digital Marketing

  • Know the principles of digital marketing
  • Know about digital marketing via social media
  • Know about digital marketing via emails
  • Know about digital marketing via ads
  • Be able to market a product digitally

The Digital Skills element of the course will develop the following skills:

  • Using devices and handling information
  • Creating and editing
  • Communicating
  • Transacting
  • Being safe and responsible

Am I right for the course?

This qualification is relevant for adults aged 24+ who are currently unemployed and who wish to enter or re-enter the workplace.

No formal entry requirements.

Digital skills will be assessed by completing an online assessment.

You will be taught by a dedicated team of tutors with experience and knowledge of the business world. Group sizes for tutoring and teaching are small and tutors focus on working with individual students to ensure they maximise their achievement potential.

What Next?

Successful completion of the course may enable you to progress into employment or onto a Level 2 qualification in a subject such as Business and Administration, Customer Service or Contact Centre Operations.

Fees

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.

For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.

Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.

All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
