Prepare to Studying Functional Skills Maths L2

These short courses which are funded by the government Multiple project are for 12 hours of learning which will help you to revise the basics of maths and prepare you to study for your qualification. Undertaking this course will shorten the study time on your full-qualification and you will be able to build on the basics instead which will help you feel less anxious about numbers and maths.

There are many units in the course, and you may feel that you do not need to undertake them all, which is acceptable but those that we recommend you should have good knowledge of prior the full qualification enrolment, are coloured green on your Learning Tracker which will be sent to you following enrolment. To see the elements included in this course please look at the “What Will I Learn Tab.”

The learning takes place online and you will be tutor supported. The tutor will check you progress on a weekly basis and send out extra work if required. If you tutor feels it necessary she will invite you to a Teams meeting online.
Prior to starting this course, you will complete an Initial Assessment and Diagnostics to help us find your current level of understanding and allow us to build on this.
