Free, Tailored, Short, Online Courses, in Maths for the Construction Industry



If you are working in the construction world building a career, or just starting in this industry, this course offers you the maths skills to work with confidence. You can select modules of maths to match your needs by selecting 20 topics from a list of over 80 topics all related to your industry.

These courses are fully funded by the Multiply government initiative to help adults improve their skills, and open to anyone who works in construction and resides in the Hertfordshire area.

Register with us on the application button and we will send you a list of 80 plus topics, from which you choose 20 modules of learning to suit you needs. You will need to complete a short form regarding your maths skills and then we will set up your topics as an individual course and organise and induction session via Teams or Zoom to show you how to get started and complete paperwork. Following that you will b3e sent information on how to get started on your learning.

On completion of the course, you will receive a certificate with hours which can be used for CPD purposes.
These courses are roll on and roll off and individual to you, which means that they can be started at any point up until the 31st March 2024

Course Content - What will I learn?

There are over 80 topics to choose from including some of those listed below:

Perimeter and areas of various shapes, composite, triangles, trapeziums etc.
Plans and elevations and scales.
Density, mass, volume, and formulae.
Surface area, Pythagoras, and right-angled trigonometry

Am I right for the course?

This course is suitable for anyone who works in the construction industry. You must be employed to gain the funding and live in the Hertfordshire area.

This is an online course which you can access 24/7. A tutor will carry out an induction with you and mark and feedback on your work.

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.

For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.

Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.

All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
