English with Creative Industries – Art & Design Pathway
The course is designed for students who are passionate about pursing a career in the creative industry, including writing, journalism or teaching. It allows you to combine one A Level with a Creative qualification. The course develops the academic and practical skills that relates to the different aspects of the creative sector, language and linguistics and writing
Course Content - What will I learn?
You will study the L3 Diploma in Art & Design in your first year progressing to the Extended Diploma in the second year. Mandatory units of study within Art & Design include: Introduction to Visual Language in Art & Design, Introduction to Research Skills in Art & Design, Introduction to Critical & Contextual Awareness in Art & Design, Introduction to Materials, Processes & Technical Skills in Art & Design, An Integrated approach to 2D Problem Solving in Art & Design, An Integrated approach to 3D Problem Solving in Art & Design, An Integrated approach to Time-Based Problem Solving, Developing an Art & Design Project, Opportunities for Progress in Art & Design, Characteristics & Contexts in Art & Design, Preparation for Progression in Art & Design, Engaging with an Audience in Art & Design, Project Proposal & Realisation in Art & Design.
You will also undertake an A Level in English Language or English Literature.
This qualification is designed to support progression to degree level studies in wide range of subjects.

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.
For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.
Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.
All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
