Finance and Accounting


The course is designed for students who aspire to work in the financial and accounting sector. The course develops the academic and practical skills that relates to information analysis for different aspects of business. It allows you to combine one A Level or an AAT qualification with a Business qualification. The AAT qualifications are respected by employers worldwide and delivers a solid foundation in finance administration, covering areas such as double entry bookkeeping to basic costing principles and using accounting software.

Course Content - What will I learn?

Mandatory units of study within Business include: Exploring Business, Developing a Marketing Campaign, Personal & Business Finance, Managing an Event, International Business, Principles of Management, Business Decision Making.

You will also study A Level Maths or the L3 AAT qualification with the option to undertake an AS Level Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) alongside.

What Next?

Successful completion could lead to employment in the financial or accounting sector and it will also prepare you for degree level studies in a related field.

Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.

All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
