English with Creative Industries – Media Pathway
The course is designed for students who are passionate about pursing a career in the creative industry, including writing, journalism or teaching. It allows you to combine one A Level with a Creative qualification. The course develops the academic and practical skills that relates to the different aspects of the creative sector, language and linguistics and writing
Course Content - What will I learn?
You will study the L3 Diploma in Creative Media Production in your first year progressing to the Extended Diploma in the second year. Units include: Unit 1: Introduction to media processes and technical skills, Unit 2: Introduction to design and research skills in creative media production, Unit 3: Introduction to professional practice in creative media production, Unit 4: Critical and contextual awareness, Unit 5: Investigating audio production and technology, Unit 6: Investigating visual production and technology, Unit 7: Investigating interactive media production and technology, Unit 8: Developing a creative media production project, Unit 8 is the summative unit in the first year of the two year qualification and will provide the student with a measure of self-directed learning in the completion of a substantial Creative Media Production & Technology project.
You will also undertake an A Level in either English Language or English Literature alongside.
This qualification is designed to support progression to degree level studies in wide range of subjects.

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.
For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.
Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.
All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
