Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
Overview
The Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed to support teachers and help children reach their full potential in the classroom. The course covers child development, classroom management, and instructional support techniques. Apprentices learn to assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, provide individual and group support to students, and manage classroom behavior effectively. The apprenticeship also includes training in safeguarding and special educational needs (SEN) support, ensuring that apprentices are well-equipped to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Am I right for the course?
If you are looking to earn while you learn, an apprenticeship is a great way to get experience and get qualified.
You should be employed, or have an employer willing to sponsor you. Applications are assessed on a case by case basis.
You will sit various assessments throughout the course, alongside an endpoint assessment at the end of the programme.
You will be taught by a team of expert Tutors and Work Based Assessors
What Next?
Full-time employment. Upon completion, you can also progress to a higher level apprenticeship or qualification.
Career progression is excellent for apprentices, and over the course of their careers, those with an Apprenticeship earn on average, £100,000 more than those without. (A Cost-Benefit Analysis of Apprenticeships and Other Vocational Qualifications, University of Sheffield, 2007)

Fees
16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.
For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.
Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.
All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
