Overview

An apprenticeship in Trowel Trades will help you develop your skills and knowledge in the construction industry.

We offer apprenticeships at Intermediate (Level 2) and Advanced (lLevel 3) levels depending on your prior qualifications and experience.

The apprenticeship programme consists of a number of qualifications which include a Technical Certificate, NVQ plus an element of maths and English at the approprate level.

At Level 2 you will

Am I right for the course?

You should have a desire to develop a career in the contemporary construction environment.

You must be employed and working in the construction environment for a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Intermediate (Level 2) apprentices should have completed a L1 Award in Construction – Brickwork.

Advanced (Level 3) apprentices should be employed as a Bricklayer and be in a role which includes activities such as setting out structures and carrying out complex building work.

Assessment is ongoing throughout the programme supported by regular review meetings both at college and on site.

Fees

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.

For all two year courses fees shown above are per year.

Aged 19+ and planning to take a level 3 or above a different fee may apply. You may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan.

All HE courses (full and part time) are subject to tuition fees.
