Netball Academy

Oaklands College, in association with 2011 Super League Champions and the University of Hertfordshire has developed the Oaklands Wolves Netball Academy which provides an outstanding educational opportunity combining both academic and sporting performance in a high quality educational and sporting environment.

The programme is aimed at talented netball players aged 16 years and over who are already playing at a good standard and are committed to improving their netball skills and abilities, while gaining further academic qualifications by studying on a variety of academic programmes, including A levels or BTECs.

The programme is based at the St Albans Campus and enables players to combine daily netball coaching sessions with their academic studies. The player focused programme encourages student athletes to improve as individuals and as team players, to develop their game knowledge and understanding and equally importantly, complete an appropriate academic course of study.

Oaklands Wolves Netball academy is in partnership with University of Hertfordshire so there is a direct link with staff at the University for students interested in academic and sporting progression into Higher Education.
