Yesterday saw the culmination of the Creative Olympics exhibition, put on by Oaklands College students at St. Albans Old Town Hall.

The exhibition ran for just under a week and saw visitors from the local press to local MPs view and bid on original pieces of art.

Visitors were so captivated by the exhibition, one in particular commented:  “I’m so impressed by the vitality and variety of the pieces inspired by Olympia ( an excellent Choice of Stimulus by the way ) in particular the political challenge of Hayley Hume’s Ceramics and the articulate and technical coherence of grace Pedder’s quartet make  them outstanding.”

Drawing a lot of attention, the exhibition was thoroughly enjoyed by all that attended, which gave students a real sense of achievement. Another visitor commented: “Thank you Oaklands College for a truly wonderful, inspirational exhibition, you’ve certainly unlocked your potential.”
