Oaklands students were given tips for success from easyJet chief executive Carolyn McCall when she

visited the College.

More than 200 students attended Carolyn’s talk, where she shared her tips for success, including being resilient, focussing on the things you are good at and taking calculated risks.

She went on to talk about the opportunities open to students with easyJet and why young people should feel concerned about politics.

Carolyn’s visit was part of the Speakers for Schools initiative to get more students engaged in politics in the run up to the general election.

Oaklands’ co-ordinator for Business & ICT Isabelle Domijan-Bowler said: “Carolyn’s talk was a wonderful opportunity for both students and staff to meet a truly inspirational person. It is also the beginning of an excellent relationship between Oaklands and easyJet.”
