About the Academy and Trial information:

Since 2006, in partnership with Saracens Rugby Club, Oaklands College have provided a fantastic opportunity for ambitious young rugby players to continue their education in an excellent institution as well as work intensively on developing their skills in the sport.

Joining Wolves Academy at Oaklands College gives students aged 16 to 18 a platform to grow with a view to progressing to the professional game, club rugby in the national or local leagues, or university and beyond.

The day is broken into two parts, the first part is to show you what you might expect from a typical day at the college, with skills and gym sessions taking place for prospective applicants to participate in.

Parents will have the opportunity to watch the skills session and then there will be a short presentation for the parents.

The second part of the day will involve a short trial to assess the playing ability of those in attendance. We are not expecting to see 30-40 international standard rugby players at each event, but we do expect a certain level of competence within the core skills; pass, catch, run, tackle, as well as a reasonable level of physical fitness and a drive to improve.

All registered attendees will receive an email closer to the event giving details of where to go and what to bring on the day.

Please note: Only book tickets for the person trialling, parents do not need to book tickets for themselves.
