During the final week before half-term, Athletics Academy students were given a fantastic opportunity by Head Coach Ryan Freckleton, to speak to a former student-turned-professional athlete; Reece Prescod.

Reece Prescod, who was the first GB Athlete to make a World Championship 100m final for over a decade, spoke to current and future students about his time at Oaklands.

Students were given a valuable insight into life as a student, balancing student and social life, the commitment required and expected of professional athletes and the sacrifices needed to progress in the sport.

The Oaklands Wolves Athletics Academy is committed to creating top athletes and introducing future champions in athletics. The Academy provides a unique opportunity to both high level athletes and also those who are aspiring towards success.

The Academy offers a complete athletic programme designed for each individual’s skillset, aimed at developing students into the best athlete they could be.
