HATFIELD — Talented students from the College’s Fashion Department showcased their creative new cyclewear collection for women at a fashion show held at the Hatfield Galleria.
The show, called ‘Cycling has never looked so good,’ was organised by Hertfordshire County Council to inspire more women and girls to take up cycling.
The show was attended by Welwyn Hatfield Mayor, Councillor Lynne Sparks and Hertfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Public Health, Localism and Libraries, Teresa Heritage, along with more than 300 shoppers, friends and family.
Cllr Heritage said: “What a fantastic show these young people offered us! Their creative flair shone through in the designs they created specifically for female cyclists.
“We all know the health benefits that exercise can bring, but we specifically want to encourage more families and individuals to take to the dedicated cycle trails of Hertfordshire and this fashion show has helped to shine a spotlight on leisure cycling for families.”
