Hairdressers of the future will be able to learn the skills they need to be a cut above the rest when Oaklands introduces new hairdressing courses in September.
The courses will run from the start of the next academic year at the Welwyn Garden City campus, home of the Oasis Beauty Salon, where the College’s Beauty students train and offer treatments to the paying public.
Budding hairdressers will be trained in a purpose-built salon where they will learn the practical skills they will need to succeed out in the workplace.
Caroline Cooper, the College’s Head of Beauty, said: “We are really excited about offering these new courses alongside our existing Beauty courses. Giving our students the practical skills they need to flourish in the industry is very important to us, so being able to teach them in an industry standard salon where they can practice on real clients is fantastic.”
