Jack, a current student in his first year of a Foundation Degree in Sports Studies, kept his cool with a consistent and cool performance which saw him win by five shots from his nearest rival and become the first Letchworth golfer to win the event in its history.

The competition was hosted by Herts Golf Union, a body which culminates all events and competitions for men’s and boys golf in Hertfordshire. With 68 member clubs, the union aims to encourage, promote and support all levels of Golfing ability in the county.

Jack has certainly had an excellent season to date, finishing 2nd in the South East Links Championship in Kent and making his County 1st Team debut last month, winning both his matches in the process. By virtue of his victory, Jack will now represent Herts at the Prince of Wales Trophy for Under-21 golfers, held each year on the Duchess course at Woburn in August.
