Level 3 BTEC Results: Pearson Statement

Oaklands College have been issued a statement by awarding organisation; Pearson – Regarding this year’s BTEC results. 

Late yesterday afternoon, Pearson (the awarding organisation) informed us that there may be changes to the results that students have received from us regarding their level 3 BTEC programme.

The awarding organisation have to come to this decision in light of the recent reforms issued to A-level and GCSE exam results. Pearson would like to review the results to make sure that any student undertaking a vocational qualification is not being unfairly disadvantaged in light of the recent changes made to A-Level and GCSE results.

Therefore, Pearson have issued a statement detailing:

• They would like to review all results to ensure that students on vocational course are not being disadvantaged 
• No student will be issued with a lower grade than what they have previously been issued but, the results may be higher than what has been originally received

In light of this new information, we would like reassure you that as soon as the grades are received we will send out further communication of when you can expect your results to be issued.
