Film buffs landed at the St Albans Campus to celebrate the St Albans Film Festival.

Film buffs landed at the St Albans Campus to celebrate the St
Albans Film Festival recently.

The College’s Media students hosted the free event, which
saw 300 people attend screenings, workshops, quizzes, installations, photography
exhibition and lecture, following the theme of space.

There was also balloon modelling, face-painting, a costume
display and science fiction-themed snacks and drinks.

Oaklands’ Co-ordinator in Media Mark Garvey said: “The students
used their creativity, imagination and resourcefulness to pull off a real
challenge as they successfully organised and ran a very ambitious two day event
crammed with fun activities.

The event was part of the wider St Albans Film Festival,
which saw the city come together to celebrate the world of cinema.
