New for this year, Oaklands College has joined forces with the Building Research Establishment Group (BRE) to create six unique and exciting apprenticeship opportunities.

The first Lab Technician Apprenticeships in the region, working for the BRE will give you the opportunity to learn about fire resistance, detection and suppression as well as gain experience in the use of materials, test instruments, climatic and environmental testing, research and best practice fire safety engineering principles.

You should have a passion for the built environment, long-term commitment to your career and a desire to be hands-on at work with a flexible approach. In return, an apprenticeship at BRE will offer you a fantastic start to your career and training in a vibrant and established company.

Location: Garston, Watford                                                                         

Places available: 6

Salary: £3.68 p/h                                                                                            

Full time hours: 37.5 per week

Commences: March 2012     

Site: 72 acres
