Join us as we take a look back at April 2019 and revisit all of the fantastic events, case studies and news stories coming out of Oaklands College.

This April saw Oaklands College sit down with three Oaklands College alumni, all of which have taken different but exciting pathways during and after their time at Oaklands. 

Case Studies: 

- Former Oaklands Rugby Academy graduate Jeanine Stephenson talks about women's equality, life after Oaklands and her experience as one of the few mixed girls in the Rugby Academy. 

- Hospitality and Catering student Maisie O'Toole talks about her experience at Oaklands College, educational trips and her passion for Irish Dancing as she prepared for the CRDM World Championships. 

- Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice Jessie Jack talks us through her decision to take up an Apprenticeship, what she's learnt on her course and her plans for the future.

News Stories:
It was a busy Spring for Art, Fashion and Design students, who travelled the world, delivered live-briefs, Art Exhibitions and much more. 

- Art, Fashion & Design students had a busy Spring, taking to the skies to fly to Venice to learn about the variety of cultural experiences on offer during carnival season, sampling the food and taking inspiration for their future designs and creations. 

- Art, students' artwork shone at the annual St Albans Cathedral Exhibition. 

- Fashion students showcase shirt designs at local bridal boutique Cerimonia, delivering on an exciting live-brief!

- High Sheriff of Hertfordshire returned to visit Oaklands College Fashion students to show them her ceremonial gown, designed by students. 

- Oaklands Wolves enjoyed an emphatic end to their first season as a youth football club
