Our Equine and Animal Care departments will also be on hand to introduce you to some of our wider animal family including reptiles, rabbits and horses up at the Equine yard and in our Oaklands Habitat Centre. Forsh those interested, Oaklands College staff will be available to chat about our Land based courses which include Animal Care, Horticulture and Equine Studies.

Younger guests will be able to complete our ‘Farm Trail’ by picking up an activity sheet at the entrance – a great way to take in some fun farm facts as your work your way round.

    Admission

Entry to the event is by ticket only. Each attendee will need to have their own ticket, unless under three years of age. You can get your ticket here.

You will need to book a chosen day, and an morning or afternoon slot. This is to help manage high volumes of visitors following feedback from last year’s event. The slots are just for entry and won't restrict the time you'd like to spend on site.

For the afternoon ticket holders, we advise that you arrive no later than 2.30pm as the event ends at 3pm.

Please note that out of respect for the welfare of our animals we cannot permit dogs on campus during this event.

    Parking and arrival on site

We have commissioned a Park & Ride service which runs from the University of Hertfordshire, Angerlands, South Way, Hatfield AL10 8HS. Buses will run from about 9.45am throughout the day. We anticipate buses to run approximately every 20 minutes with the last bus departing about 3.30pm.

St Albans Campus holds very limited parking with priority given to Blue Badge holders. We encourage all visitors to use the Park & Ride service, offering a transfer of just a few minutes which will bring you directly on site.

Please have your tickets printed (or on the Eventbrite app) and ready to scan to ensure swift admission for your family.

    Caution

Please note that there are risks associated with lambing and pregnancy. If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, we advise you that you do not attend the day

  • Advice & Enrolment Evening at SAC

    Dates: 29 – 29 Aug, 2018

Our August Advice and Enrolment evenings are a great place to drop in and get all the information and advice you need and signed up to kick-start your new chapter at Oaklands College.

These late Summer Open events are hosted after GCSE results day, giving students the advice and support they need to secure their next step in study. They serve as a great opportunity to come and meet us, find out about your courses, and if you like what you see, sign up on the spot.

From walking through the door with just your ID and exam results, you can leave enrolled with Student ID badge all set to start your course in the days to come. You can chat to tutors about your course options, get all the essential info from our Student Advice team from travel, finance, childcare and more.

If your exam results are not quite as you expected, our team are on hand to chat through you options and find a course for you. The event runs from 5-8pm, at our St Albans campus with Welwyn Garden City following on Thursday 30th August.

Don’t forget – we’re here all over the summer too. Our Contact Centre can help with your questions if you need us or would like to get the ball rolling now. You can apply online any time for your course to start the application process on our website to get a head start. Call us on 01727 737000 or use our Live Chat on our website to chat to an advisor during working hours.

At Oaklands College, we have two campuses, each offering slightly different courses. Here at St Albans, join us for the following…
