Oaklands College Basketball Academy is nationally recognised as one of the best male & female player development centres in the country (England Basketball accredited AASE Academy) and we have specialist staff and facilities to help you progress on to the next level.
The basketball programme is timetabled to work alongside your academic studies (BTEC Sport, A levels or vocational course) and is focused on developing your individual ability to maximise your basketball potential.
Open Day Itinerary
St Albans Campus, Hatfield Road, St Albans, AL4 0JA
Please report to reception at the St Albans Campus after you have found a parking space and they will register you for free parking – then go to the Sapsed Room (in the Mansion House).
Oaklands Wolves Basketball Academy Presentation by Head Coach & Programme Manager Michael Ball including basketball programmes, academic options, finance/bursary and on-site accommodation.
4.30pm: Campus tour
Tour of campus, including Sports Zone courts and basketball facilities, gym and physio facilities. You will also be able to observe practice and see staff.
5.00pm: Academic open evening
Time to discuss options with teaching staff and to also have individual Q&A with Michael Ball, Head of Basketball if required.
Student support staff available in reception for questions if required.

Note: The open day will be followed up with a basketball try-out on the afternoon of Wednesday May 2nd for those students that have made an academic application. At the try-outs the final selection of Academy squads will be made and offer letters will go out to confirm a students place in the Academy.
