Floristry department brighten up Claridges for the 4th year running

The Floristry department at Oaklands College were commissioned for the fourth year running to provide a number of displays for the Annual Radio Times Covers Party, held at Claridges in London last week. The party is a chance to thank the stars who have graced the cover of the Radio Times in the past 12 months. The team made four large pedestal arrangements and two smaller displays for the bar and reception. They also made a bouquet for Graham Norton, who was the host for the evening.

Rebecca Bates, Floristry Technician, said of the experience: “The students rose to the occasion and produced some outstanding designs. They had a thoroughly enjoyable day and gained valuable experience in the planning and decoration of a large scale event.”
