Success stories on A Level results day

Today over 300 students received their A Level results at Oaklands College with dreams of University confirmed for the vast majority of them.

With 11 subjects achieving an impressive 100% pass rate including English Literature, Economics, Biology and all of the arts subjects. Over a third of students achieved grades A*-B with overall, two thirds achieving A* - C grades.

Nicole Creasey achieved two A*s and two As confirming her place at Cambridge University.. Nicole who will study Psychology commented: “I am so pleased I have done well. I have managed to balance my A Levels with a Pharmacy Technician role and I can’t wait to get to Cambridge.”

Aaron Gomez who studied Law, History and Politics achieved B,B,A commented: “ Oaklands has changed my life. I have had many personal challenges to overcome but the support I have received has enabled me to fulfil my dream of going to University.”

Zoe Hancock, Principal of Oaklands College, commented: “We are very proud of the successes of our students this year and I would like to congratulate them all on their achievements and wish them well as they move to University or employment.”
