'Big Toddle' at Acorns Nursery raises funds for charity

Recently, Oaklands College's on-site OFSTED rated Outstanding nursery were in fundraising spirits as children and staff members raised an incredible £765 for Barnardo's charity. 

Children and staff members wore animal costumes for the annual sponsored Big Toddle walk around Oaklands College St Albans campus, with parents joining in singing songs and searching for animals. 

Deputy Nursery Manager Betsy Murray said: "Thank you to everyone who participated and helped to raise money for Barnardo's, it was a fun and enjoyable day for all involved" 

Barnardo's Charity dates back to 1867 and have been helping disadvantaged children for over 150 years. 

Acorns Nursery were inspired by the hundreds of thousands of children, parents and carers across the UK who have been helped by the charity, raising £765 for the charity.
