Oaklands College is proud to announce that Principal Zoe Hancock has been recognised for excellence by the business community at the St Albans Chamber of Commerce 2017 Awards.
Zoe Hancock was one of nine business leaders and champions recognised from the local business community at a glittering Gala dinner at Club Batchwood.
The audience of 220 guests enjoyed a gala dinner before the award ceremony, which selected local individuals and organisations for award categories in Business Growth, New Business and celebrated the input of individuals in categories such as the Community Champion Award.
College Principal Zoe received the Business Leader Award to recognise her role within the ongoing success of students and staff at the College, while championing the drive for Oaklands College to continue to play a key role as a community asset.
Following the ceremony, Zoe said; “This award reflects the hard work of everyone at Oaklands College. I am proud to be the Principal of this great College as we continue to strive to produce successful students and build collaboration with local businesses, which will drive growth, create opportunity and support the communities we serve.”
Executive Director of the St Albans Chamber Lisa Bates-Wallis said; “We really enjoyed hosting another sell out event recognising the exceptional people and businesses within the district.
“We interview all of the finalists during the judging process so we really do get involved and make an effort to get to know those shortlisted for our awards, each year it is a very rewarding and inspiring process, meeting outstanding people who give so much to St Albans.”
