In addition to various in-class assessments, you will be formally assessed through sitting three exams at the end of the second year of study.

About the course

The main units of study in A level Law are as follows: The English legal system, human rights, criminal law, civil law, law making and the law of tort.

Career options

The majority of our students go on to university. A level Law is obviously useful for pursuing a career in law or public services but also for other professions such as teaching or business management. It combines particularly well with English Literature and Sociology.

A Levels can lead you onto many different career paths, including university to further develop your skills in your chosen subject(s).
