Oaklands joins forces with National Apprenticeship provider NiTP

Oaklands College has joined forces with NiTP Advanced IT Apprenticeship Programme providers, making it the only college in North London to offer an IT Apprenticeship to 16-18 year olds.

Oaklands College has joined forces with NiTP Advanced IT Apprenticeship Programme providers, making it the only college in the North London and South Herts area to offer an IT Apprenticeship to 16-18 year olds. The National IT Partnership is a training partnership specialising in the delivery of IT apprenticeships across the country.  

The programme gives learners the chance to study for comprehensive qualifications in IT and Telecoms as well as providing them with a salary of £95 a week and paid work placements within their local area.

Mark Dawe, Chief Executive and Principal of Oaklands College, comments: “Lasting just seven months, students are fast tracked into a successful career, and businesses benefit from having access to fully-qualified young professionals in a short space of time.”

NiTP centre manager Michele Emmet adds: “We are delighted to partner with Oaklands College and hope to begin producing the next generation of IT experts. Our IT expertise coupled with Oaklands facilities and reputation will offer a fantastic opportunity for young learners.”
